- What is it?
Banisteriopsis caapi is a tropical vine native to South America. It is one of two principal plants used by indigenous communities in the brewing of the traditional beverage ayahuasca, and this plant itself is also called ayahuasca. Our freshly dried ayahuasca leaves are grown fresh on our partner farm in Ghana, West Africa.
- How should I use it?
Our ayahuasca leaves are sold for ornamental or collection purposes only.
- Facts and info
Goldleaf has ayahuasca plants for sale when available from our personal collection. These tropical vines need a large vertical surface to climb. In climates with cold winters, overwintering is achievable using our proven method of 6′ stakes with trellis system. Contact us for more recommendations on growing ayahuasca plants.
