Goldleaf announces new in-person Saturday farmers’ market, welcomes longstanding Bloomington vendors and invites new vendors from surrounding areas

Bloomington, IN. Goldleaf Hydroponics is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the first vendor owned and operated farmers market in Bloomington. The Goldleaf Farmers Market will take place on Saturday, April 3, from 10 am to 2 pm at Goldleaf Hydroponics located at 6520 South Empire Road.

The Goldleaf Farmers Market is organized and run by Goldleaf Hydroponics owner Monica Billman who is a former Bloomington Community Farmers Market vendor and minority woman vendor of color. Goldleaf is excited to offer a one-of-a-kind market with a wide range of traditional farmers, artisans, herbalists, and food vendors.

Local vendors participating in the Goldleaf Farmers Market are the following: Azure Sky Farm, Growing Opportunities, Kawa No Oka Bonsai, Outlier Farmstead, The Goat Conspiracy Farm, Triple H Wagyu Farm, Reef Family Farm, Wilding Flowers, Aahaa Chai, Bivi’s Tamales, eQuality Baked Goods, La Poblana, Mitra Sweets, Morgan’s Meals, Pili’s Party Taco, Wagyu Ninja, Jacq Perry Maker, Quackenbush Pottery, Lionhearted Herbals, Myrtle 30, Terre Haute Cannabis, and Wild Mint Apothecary.

“The majority of our Farmers Market vendors are our own customers who have shopped at our garden supply store for years, so it feels natural for us to bring the community together with the resources we have and continue growing our local food economy,” Kyle Billman, Goldleaf Hydroponics co-owner mentioned.

Due to COVID precautions, the Goldleaf Farmers Market is outdoors every Saturday from April to September. Vendor spaces will be distanced 6 feet apart from one another, and a strict mask policy will be enforced. The Goldleaf Farmers Market offers free private parking and ADA certified bathroom facilities.

Goldleaf looks forward to a fun, safe, and busy season with its new market. This market is easily accessible and visible from State Road 37 and South Walnut in Bloomington, Indiana. Vendors who would like to apply to sell at the Goldleaf Farmers Market, please email info@goldleafhydro.com.

Goldleaf Hydroponics is a year-round garden supply center for indoor and outdoor gardening. Goldleaf sells soil mixes, plant nutrients, grow lights, nursery pots, seed starting kits, seeds, and more.
