Description
The Video Production Intern will be responsible for creating content in line with Goldleaf Hydroponics Indoor Garden Supply branding. Content includes videos for advertisements, social media ads, graphics for social media, video tutorials and Facebook specific content. This role is new as of 2019 and has room for growth and development for future interns. Intern must be able to work independently in a warehouse setting, be enthusiastic and driven to meet goals. Works closely with Goldleaf Hydroponics Growers Group at IU in capturing events and other content relevant to the group.
- Must have some weekend availability for filming Goldleaf events
- Producer of Summer Growers Fest video and marketing material
- Must have reliable transportation
- Vlogging experience is a bonus
Qualifications
Journalism, Communications, Telecommunications, or Media School majors preferred. Basic knowledge and experience in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier, Facebook, Instagram is a must. Lighting equipment and professional cameras are available for use at Goldleaf Hydroponics or intern may bring their own equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills; and exceptional problem-solving skills including ability to effectively solve problems while maintaining confidentiality. Proven computer skills including above average (intermediate to advance) in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Varied experience will be considered.
Compensation
Paid at $9/hourly rate if ineligible for credit, minimum of 10 hours per week. IU credit available, consult with advisor in appropriate department.
